(The before and after photos of myself and Natasa are on page 33!) Health is not a single destination, it’s lifelong journey.īy the way, we still have a few free copies of our book, “Ready for TAKEOFF!: A practical health guide for airline executives and their teams to get back on top of their game”. Micro actions over time lead to marco changes in our health and performance. I know my before and after photos may look a bit extreme, but it has simply been a slow, gradual process of layering small, incremental actions, one on top of the other, in each of the four drivers of health – mindset, nutrition, movement and sleep. It was after the birth of my fifth son, and I started to realize that I might not be around for him and my other boys if I didn’t make some serious changes. I had suffered a series of panic attacks while I was the General Counsel for the EMEA region at UBER, and I was also having some heart problems. I had a lot of false starts over the years where I vowed to “change”, to “improve my health”, to “do things differently.” But, inevitably, life and work intervened and the same old unhealthy habits kicked back in. Ultimately, it was my health that always took a back seat, and it became a vicious cycle of lower energy, increasing stress levels and deteriorating relationships. I went through a lot of my career struggling to keep up with the demands of a hyper competitive industry, a growing family, and my health.
